Sears and Roebuck Company is over seventy years old and was founded by Richard Sears. The local Sears and Roebuck building was built in 1947. This building replaced a mail order office. When it was built, the store was the second largest Sears building in New England. Sears moved to the Aroostook Centre Mall in 1993. The building that was Sears and Roebuck is no longer there today. It is now where Rite Aid is located.
